The cottage is set in a magical semi-secluded location with breathtaking views of the rolling countryside, surrounded by pastures, forests, and fields. Behind it stand the majestic sequoia trees of the nearby château park and a deer enclosure, while the legendary Mount Blaník rises just beyond the hill. Here, you will find absolute peace and privacy – yet Prague is only about an hour away.

garden.
The timber house is surrounded by a big, cultivated and fully fenced garden (5000 m2) with old trees providing enough shade. There is a big covered terrace with a comfy sofa, that can be turned into a queen size bed and used for sleeping outdoors under a mosquito net.... A massive wooden table for 12 people is the heart if the outdoors. A big green egg grill, a smoking pot made from a wine barrel , a fireplace with a cooking pot to make a nice goulash will be all at your disposal. The garden overflows with cherries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries in summer time.
The kids will love the witch house with a sand pitch, you can as well fill in an inflatable basin for them. The garden is super kids safe. You can built a tent in a garden, if you wish a more adrenalin for your little ones.
If you are a horse owner, you can take it along with you - there is a fenced paddock and a horse shed on the land.
interior & layout.
A living room with a stove, a fireplace and a kitchen, opened up to the ceiling is the heart of the house. There is one bedroom on the ground floor with „wall to wall“ bed 280 X 200 cm, a bathroom with a bath tub and a toilet and a second bathroom with a shower and a toilet. The gallery has got one big room with a king size and 2 queen size beds, so it easily accommodates 8-10 people for sleeping.
There is sauna with a cooling basin available in the house for your relaxation.
location & activities.
The house is surrounded by a beautiful countryside providing endless possibilities for bike trips and country walks. The mythical Blanik hill is located only 10 km away and has got a tall lookout tower on top with a kids activity trail leading up to it.
A beautifully renovated chateau hotel Zámek Ratměřice and its nobel park features two highest sequoia trees in Czech Republic and is our immediate neighbor.
The surrounding woods are a paradise for mushroom picking, dog walking. There are two possibilities for swimming near by - newly opened biotop Votice (11km), or an old stone quarry Miličín (13 km).
The chateau's park has got a grand kids playground 50 meters from the house. You can as well visit the local football pitch with a kids' playground (800 m). Further there is an Ekofarm Čapí Hnízdo (12km) with a small ZOO and big play area for kids, chateau Konopiště and it's beautiful Parc (21 km), or a chateau Vlašim (17 km). Downhill MTB lovers will enjoy the trails at Monínec (27 km).

dining.
The big advantage of our house is it's neighbouring Chateau Ratměřice, with a fantastic restaurant Sequoia for demanding clients as well as a bistro for cyclists. Another great place to eat, with a nice outdoor terrace is Zájezdní Hostinec Starý Svět (10 km), or well known traditionally czech Hostinec u Matoušků in Kondraci (12 km). And if you only feel like grabbing a nice chilled beer, then you can have one on a terrace of a local very traditional village pub (500m).
For cooking in-house you have the following at your disposal: a Big Green Egg grilling station, a smoking pot made from a wine barrel, outdoor fire pitch with a cooking pot, in-doors you find an induction hob, an electric oven a wood oven, fondue set, contact grill, raclett set, a wood oven.
